Our lab attended the College of Education, Psychology, and Social Work graduations for 2020 and 2021. Six members of the FACCL lab graduated together making it a bigger celebration than normal.

Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence 2019

Melanie Takarangi won the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Higher Degree by Research Supervision. Melanie won after being nominated by all of her past and present postgraduate students. This award is a reflection on her outstanding work in HDR supervision. Notably, Melanie is the first female recipient of the award, and the first non-professor to win this award at Flinders University. Read about it here

Representatives of the Forensic and Clinical Cognition lab recently presented at the International Meeting of the Psychonomic Society 2018 in Amsterdam. Their work was well received and our representatives took advantage of the opportunity to visit their Dutch counterparts at a number of local universities.

After extensive collaboration, Ella had the opportunity to visit Ira Hyman’s lab at Western Washington University. Dr Hyman is Professor of Psychology, researching memory for trauma, false childhood memories, autobiographical memory, memory in social context, and memory for phobias.
