Dan Bernstein of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, BC Canada

We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Daniel Bernstein in our lab this month. Dan visited Flinders University to work with Melanie Takarangi and Glen Bodner in the College of Education, Psychology, and Social Work here at Flinders University in Adelaide. Dan helped our lab with projects; lending ideas, troubleshooting research issues, and generally encouraging students with their research projects. Dan also spoke to faculty and students about his current work, and inspired us with new ideas and new research avenues. Dan’s current research involves lifespan cognitive development; belief and memory; and perspective taking. His research aligns well with the work we do in Melanie Takarangi’s lab, and having him here with us was both a privilege and a pleasure. In Dan’s own words:

“I stayed one month, met with faculty and students, attended several of Mel’s lab meetings, drank with everyone willing, and enjoyed myself immensely.”
