Tyla Molyneux
I am currently completing my Honours year within the Forensic and Clinical Cognition Lab. I developed a particular interest in forensic and memory-related research, such as eyewitness testimony and cognitive biases, throughout my degree.
My thesis aims to investigate the link between enhanced memory for disgust (in comparison to fear) and the possibility of false remembering. Prior research has focused on the salience of disgust in the memory, with some research exploring the relationship between disgust and recollection. My Honours project aims to expand upon this, to examine the frequency of false remembering within disgust-related memories. This research has clinical implications regarding the role of disgust in PTSD treatment.
