I am currently one of the Honours students within the Forensic and Clinical Cognition Lab here at Flinders University. In 2025, I had my third-year placement within the lab and admired the collaborative, supportive and passionate culture, and wanted to remain being a part of it!
My thesis will investigate the prevalence inflation hypothesis. This theory discusses that whilst mental health awareness campaigns have helped to de-stigmatise mental health conversations, they may also lead to an increase of psychological problems by causing people to over-interpret everyday symptoms of distress as pathological. Research in this area is important to ensure that valuable resources and support is provided to vulnerable people in society and could also shape the future of mental health education.
In my free time I enjoy creative writing, reading novels and watching psychological thrillers!
