Jamie Owen

I am commencing my Honours year in the Forensic and Clinical Cognition lab. I was part of the lab in 2025 when I completed my third-year placement, I loved the welcoming team environment, and the chance to learn from the PhD students in the lab.

My project investigates the role of the supervisor-student relationship on the psychological wellbeing of Honours students within Australia. This research is meaningful because, while the importance of the supervisory relationship is well established in studies on postgraduate programs, there is limited research examining these dynamics among Honours students.

In my spare time I love to read, hangout with my friends and go on hikes with my two dogs. I work as an OSHC educator, and I volunteer at headspace, and as a mentor at a primary school. I hope to continue onto postgraduate studies after my Honours year.
