I am an Honours student in the Forensic and Clinical Cognition Lab, completing my thesis under the supervision of Professor Melanie Takarangi. I was previously a volunteer in 2024 and completed my third-year placement in 2025 with the Lab.

My thesis is investigating the effectiveness of an online emotional regulation intervention for adolescents (14 to 17 years old), focused on regulating emotions that arise when seeing negative content online. We are interested in whether the intervention encourages adolescents to use these emotional regulation strategies more often. If so, we aim to find out if using these strategies decrease negative emotional responses and intrusive memories whilst increasing positive emotional responses and daily mood.
